Hi! I'm Cathy from western Kentucky. I graduated in December with a teaching degree. Currently I'm jumping around between jobs. I serve with the Baptist Campus Ministries at Berea College now. I also have done some tutoring in an elementary school, while filling other time with subbing. Now I'm looking forward to spending the next year serving as an Americorps VISTA.
So the explanation for my name? My favorite novel is Jane Eyre. That's the Eyre part which I believe is also supposed to represent the fact that I enjoy books in general. The granny part? I'm a bit of an old person at heart I suppose. I enjoy a cup of tea, a good book, some crochet, and an early bedtime. Not that I don't enjoy going on crazy late night adventures with my friends, but if I get my way our "adventures" are small and in our places of living. Without getting too reflective, I think it's safe to say this group of girls has been good for breaking me out of my shell a bit since I came to college.
