About Captain Something Fun

Hello out there! To those of you who don't know me by my alias, my name is Amanda. I would like to think of myself as intuitive, fun, and easily excitable by the little things in life like the laughter of a child and I hope to portray this through my post on this blog. Speaking of children, my job, one of the best ever, is working at the Child Development Lab on campus. Insert quote about how I am still coming to terms with the fact that I am on the slow track to graduation here. Monday thru Friday I wake up every morning motivated by the fact that I get to spend the whole day, minus two hours of class, with fun, loving, adorable children.

Something else you should know about me and may be already can tell through my writing style. I get easily distracted by other thoughts and ideas in my head. I tend to jump from one topic to another and then back again all in the same paragraph. This being said I would like to talk about college and my degree now and kind of what I would like to see happen in my future. I am a 5th year senior (hence the slow track) majoring in Child and Family Studies with a concentration in Family Studies or Child Development ( my advisor and I haven't yet figured out if by the time I graduate which one of the two I will have had more courses in). What I am hoping to do with this sort of major is become a Social Worker so I can help children. If this doesn't work out I have back up plans involving Daycare centers, possible working at an orphanage, and secret agent. And seriously if all else fails there is always the Mart-Of-Wal.
