Getting Old

I think I'm getting old. Either that or the traffic on the interstate is finally getting to me. I'm finding it much more comfortable to drive at 60 rather than 70. I guess it doesn't make me too old because that's still five over the speed limit on the interstate where there is roadwork. Sometimes I forget to speed up to 70ish when the road work ends. Maybe I am getting old.

Speaking of old, my birthday is in about a month. I'll be really old then. 23. Ha. It'll be a different sort of birthday because this is the first time I've been in Berea all summer. Maybe I'll get to celebrate here with some permanent Berea folks. I'm considering going home those few days before our camping trip in order to celebrate with my mom and just be at home for a few days.

I'm also getting old because I find it hard to stay up past 10. Granted, I get up at 6 am almost every morning, so 10 pm gives me my much needed eight hours of sleep. But still...10 pm. Sheesh.

Maybe it's just the fact that I'm spending more time with those whipper-snappers at school. Aren't they fun? Next week is my last week, so I'm going to be missing them just a bit. I've finally figured out how to manage the rowdy third graders with stickers and a promised reward. I'm trying to think of some fun kid stories, but those just aren't coming to me.

Someone help me maintain my youthfulness! I don't want to be old yet! (ha. kidding kidding.)

As long as you eat sweet treats whenever you want and have spontaneous moments, you've still got a bit of youth in there somewhere. I don't think you'll ever lose either of those traits Cathy; so, you're set!
